LEIXLIP “YES TO LIFE” CANVASS: We meet on Tuesday’s in the church car park at 6.30pm and canvass until approximately 8pm. Our goal is to call on every house in Leixlip. Yes we have a lot done but more to do. YES TO LIFE is a major national initiative which aims to have a one-to-one conversation with the nation on abortion. Most people are opposed to abortion, but they can have questions on key issues. We aim to provide answers as part of a personal conversation on why we should say YES to Life, and NO to abortion. We invite YOU to join us.
“The climate is a common good, belonging to all and meant for all” Pope Francis (Laudato Si’ 23) – See more at: http://www.dublindiocese.ie/earth-hour/
Earth Hour will be marked around the world on Saturday 25 March. In Ireland, it will be observed from 8.30pm – 9.30pm. Earth Hour is all about inspiring people to take better care of the planet and in practical terms if means making the effort to turn off lights/power for one hour to conserve energy and to promote action on climate justice! It is celebrated annually in 178 countries. The idea of Earth Hour very much fits in with the themes of Laudato Si’, Pope Francis’ encyclical letter on Care for Our Common Home. The hashtag for Ireland for 2017 is #EarthHourIrl.
