Papal Medal PROFESSOR JOHN MONAGHAN
PROFESSOR JOHN MONAGHAN – PRO-ECCLESIA ET PONTIFICE CROSS – We congratulate our parishioner John Monaghan who was awarded the “Pro-Ecclesia et Pontifice Cross” by Pope Francis (“For the Church and the Pope”, the highest medal that can be awarded to the laity by the Pope) and presented by Archbishop Diarmuid Martin during a concelebrated Mass on Wednesday last in SVP House, Sean McDermott St., Dublin.
John is former National Vice President of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul and has worked in particular in the area of social justice. We are also very much aware of his work with SVP here in Leixlip and his outstanding contribution to the parish of Our Lady’s Nativity.
We again congratulate John and his wife Catherine and family on this very happy occasion.
